The Indian Health Service (IHS) is looking for available small businesses and small Indian-owned firms “capable of providing subscription services for the technology-based business research, industry-specific reporting, best practice methodologies, benchmarking, and market analysis research,” the Jan. 28 sources sought notice says.
According to the notice posted on beta.SAM.gov, IHS is looking for a cloud-based subscription service and for contractors to help with modernizing applications, selecting a new electronic health record system, integrating threat intelligence, improving data quality, securing critical systems and intellectual property, and using metrics to drive DevOps adoption.
“IHS Office of Information Technology (OIT) is responsible for executing a significant modernization project to replace the current Electronic Health Record (EHR) system with a modern cloud-based EHR system,” the notice says. “This project will require significant resources and take several years to complete due to the scope of the IHS enterprise.”
IHS will also be looking for potential contractors to complete a variety of tasks, including providing access to online IT research, vendor and cost comparisons, roadmaps for key initiative plans, and guided implementation of IT core processes.
It will be a fairly quick turnaround for contractors, as the initial response date on the notice is Feb. 4, and the notice will go inactive on Feb. 15.
