The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has tapped John Brown for a promotion, according to a report from The Hill. Brown, who was previously a special agent in charge of the FBI’s San Diego office, will now serve as the assistant director in the FBI’s counterintelligence division. During the early part of his FBI career, Brown primarily worked in counterintelligence and was deployed to Iraq in 2004.
